Mr. Minyard, has over 38 years experience in design, supply, project management, and installation of residential and large scale commercial photovoltaic, wind, and hybrid electrical power systems. He is a globally recognized expert in PV system design and has supervised the design, manufacture, and project management of over 5,000 complete systems for the industry, across the world. He specializes in solar electric equipment for remote home, telecom and large industrial applications.

From 1992 to 2001, Mr. Minyard was the engineering and production manager at Solar Electric Specialties, in Willits, California.

He was the founder of Minyard Solar Electric, which provides consulting for the solar electric industry. Glen Minyard has designed and created solar systems worldwide for all types of situations from off the grid homes to agricultural systems that produced food.

From 2010-2018, Glen Minyard worked in Delhi, India as Senior Vice President-Research & Development at Azure Power India Pvt Ltd.

Glen was one of the pioneers of the global solar power movement in America, practically from its inception and brings rich knowledge in setting up successful PV power plants across the globe. As an accomplished industry leader in the solar power industry, his expertise has added significantly to Azure capabilities at expanding solar in India and his goal was to help improve future growth in the world of solar and to bring light into the places where there was no electricity.

In September 2010, he became the new vice president of design and engineering at Azure. The company was expanding into the global solar energy markets and picked Glen Minyard to oversee its commercial and off-grid business, deeming him a solar power veteran.
